The service is committed to working in partnership with service users, their families, commissioners, and all key stakeholders. They aim to provide inclusive, specialist, person centred services that are impact and outcome focused. The service provides care and support to a wide range of user group including the elderly, adults with learning and physical disabilities and complex care needs.
The Position:
We are looking for an experienced Service Manager who has a minimum of two years in such a position to join this expanding team.
This will be a challenging, yet rewarding role that will require a passion to drive things ensuring high-quality care for individuals, coordinating staff, and adhering to relevant regulations and standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement service development plans based on user needs and audits.
- Coordinate and review person-centred support plans to ensure flexible, responsive services.
- Lead assessments, develop intervention strategies, and produce required reports.
- Oversee medication administration and ensure adherence to guidelines and policies.
- Manage budgets and monitor service user finances and petty cash systems.
- Recruit, train, and retain staff while fostering teamwork and harmony.
- Conduct supervision, appraisals, and address grievances or disciplinary issues.
- Collaborate with external agencies and ensure compliance with adult protection policies.
- Ensure services operate within budget and meet Care Inspectorate standards.
- Be on-call as required and handle additional duties assigned by the Line Manager.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficient in care management systems, rota coordination, and safeguarding.
- Knowledgeable in social care legislation and Care Inspectorate regulations.
- Experienced in project management for elderly and adults with complex needs.
- Skilled in budget management, resource allocation, and decision-making.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability to policy changes and the ability to challenge existing practices.
Qualifications:
- Social work or healthcare qualification (as per SSSC guidelines).
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in management/leadership (desirable).
